Hi there, What a great opportunity, now that some of you may have some extra time on your hands (with school hols etc)to weed your wardrobe(s)! As the saying goes, "A tidy cupboard is a tidy mind" (& fellow feng shui experts would concur with this sentiment!)...
Before doing my current job, I would always regularly 'prune' my wardrobes and drawers of non-fitting or almost worn out items, or items that would just 'not me'. Now, however, I can do this to maximum effect by pruning items by the non-flattering colours and styles as well as the above. As I do practice what I preach, I now have myself a fantastic mix 'n' match capsule wardrobe that any woman would be proud to own and show off - something I do do on a regular basis, to clients who come to my studio know! Why hold on to items that don't fit or suit you? Sentimental items can be packed away and nicely preserved, but what's the point of them jamming up your wardrobe when you don't wear them? You should aim to leave in what suits you, reflects the 'real you' in terms of colour and personality, items that can be combined in many ways, complementary accessories. That way, you'll be able to open your wardrobes and smile, knowing that whatever you chose to put on today will make you LOOK & FEEL FAB! The result is - you don't have to worry about your appearance and you can concentrate on the job in hand....and, believe it or not, with no visual distractions or disharmony, your spoken word will be more effective - whether it's in the workplace, at home or on a date!!! Don't knock it til you've tried it girls.....
