Trinny & S thankyou!Posted by fiona.mw in wardrobe workout, shopping, myblog, feel good, fashion, confidence, colour, benefits |
Once again, T&S are doing a reasonable job of highlighting the benefits of improving one's image....whether it's the whole nation, or just motivates individuals into action!
Most people's reactions to poor self image are to wearand stick to black - very evident from last night's programme - & it doesn't always have the slimming effect people expect. Psychologically it says "stay away, I don't want to be noticed", but that message is very obvious to someone like me. It speaks volumes without you having to say a word...
When I was a lot larger (size 28) than I am now there was little choice beyond black for larger ladies, but that is so not the case nowadays. As my colour direction does not include black, I am now an expert on how to buy alternatives. Obviously for my job, I do have an amazing memory of who sells what, for what shapes and sizes, for what wardrobe personality, for what budget etc, etc.
It is often quite difficult for people to imagine what value and benefits one can gain from having an unbiased, independent evaluation of their image - that's why makeover programmes are great, because you get to see the before and after stories.... My strapline was born from over a year's worth of comments and feedback from happy clients; "glowing with confidence". That's the element that changes when you are empowered with expert knowledge on your style and colours.
We all acknowledge that what you wear affects how you feel - so true! Celebrities don't look good by default, they are given advice and tuition on how to project their best image to their public - that is what I have to do everyday, even going round the supermarket....I am my brand, but more importantly than that, I feel more confident as a result of spending time on me!
As we approach the new Autumn/Winter season, you may be toying with the idea of sorting out your wardrobes or what items you may add to your existing wardrobe to update you for this season......why not let me guide you with what's right for you? You won't regret it.
Remember, image advice is an investment that lasts a lifetime.
PS: Are you wearing colour today?
