From working girl to working mum!Posted by Marisol in Untagged |
It was just after 11am on 13th September when my beautiful baby girl, Frieda, was born.
My due date was actually 1st September and my husband and I had been hoping that Frieda would arrive after 5th September for schooling purposes. But little did we know that she was going to take her time ... In the end I had to be induced at 41 weeks plus three days but things couldn't really have gone moresmoothly. In fact, a good thing about being induced is that you are already in the hospital when things start to kick off, so there is no panic at home or never-ending car journey!
Anyway, I was in labour for about 12 hours but only 'felt' the last two, when I was fully dilated and the midwife asked me to push. The rest of the time, I was under the effect of an epidural and my God it was a wonderful relief!
Frieda is now just over eight weeks and we seem to have settle into a routine, so I am able to joggle being a mum and running Caradiaz, which is great as this is the busiest time of the year for us!
